BackTeacher and Educator Maintenance and Accountability Seminars (TE-MAS)
TE-MAS is an extended follow-up program available to the graduates of the PBI TE-16 courses. During the course, participants continue the process of remediation begun during their initial course, deepen their understanding of course concepts, and practice implementation of their Personalized Protection Plan©. Teachers and educators participate in weekly, faculty-moderated teleconference seminars with a multi-disciplinary community built on peer review and support.
Note: Medical professionals and medical educators are not eligible to take this course and instead should enroll in PBI's healthcare-specific courses.
Course Format
- Prerequisite: Completion of a PBI Teacher/Educator Course, or comparable course through another education provider
- Group teleconference seminars:Participants attend one-hour, faculty-led, group seminars, weekly, for a total of 12 hours. Seminars are held on Tuesdays from 9:00 - 10:00 PM Eastern Time.
- Certificate provided upon successful completion of 12 TE-MAS seminars.
Course Duration
The TE-MAS course takes a minimum of twelve weeks to complete. Due to the nature of the course and to facilitate the most comprehensive educational experience, acceleration of this schedule is not permitted.

K-12 teachers, higher education faculty, principals, religious education teachers, ministers, and other professionals working in the educational setting.

Reasons for Referral
- False, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading documentation or behaviors
- Misleading, malicious, or deceptive communication toward colleagues or with regulatory boards
- Teaching below minimal standards
- Discrimination based on race, color, creed, sex, national origin, marital status, political or religious beliefs, family, social or cultural background, or sexual orientation
- Acceptance of gifts, favors, or gratuities that impair or appear to influence professional decisions or actions
- Dual Relationships that compromise a teacher role
- Sexual exploitation, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct

Certificate Information
A 12 contact-hour certificate of completion will be made available to course graduates upon completion of the course, certified by PBI Education. Graduates will be awarded contact hours equal to the number of hours completed during their course.
Please note: This course is not intended to serve as a collegiate study course, but instead a remedial education course. As such, the course is not accredited to award collegiate professional education contact hours. Please confirm prior to registration that this course is acceptable for your professional development needs.
